First, I’ve created a new page definition, _Cell screen. (In WordPerfect, that’s Format, Page, Page Setup, Add). For Size, choose User Defined Size, 2″ wide, 3.5″ tall. For document margins, click on Minimum–should be 0.1″ all around. Return to the document.

Zoom setting should be set to 100% to preview the look on a smart phone’s screen. I find 8 point type to work well, and not need zooming. Start from there.
Use File, Publish to PDF to create the PDF image. Check it in Adobe Reader, using the Zoom setting (View, Zoom, Actual Size) to see what it looks like.

Finally, send it to your phone. Methods vary with the phone, but on Android, the app ‘AirDroid’ does a great job.

Here’s the description of the fix:

   This Hot Fix applies to WordPerfect Office X5 Service Pack 2 (build 15.0.0.505) and updates a single file to version 15.0.0.506: PrintServer150.exe.
This Hot Fix corrects a problem introduced in Service Pack 2 with printing (and publishing to PDF) certain documents—specifically, documents that contain all- or full-justified lines without printable characters.

When I try to use the following macro commands:
PrefLocationOfDocuments or
PrefLocationOfMacroFiles

I get a ‘Parameter error’ message, regardless of the parameters specified. The parameter in error is not indicated. Is there something special about these commands, something that I should know?

Those commands are in the old style, where each command includes a set of brackets and options. I’ve had reliable results by ignoring them. Instead, go to the WordPerfect Macro Help file, and browse through the section of “Current WordPerfect System Variables”. I think you’ll use “?PathDocument” and “?PathMacros”, but there are also options for the supplemental folders for each of those settings.

These system variables are easy to use without parameters; this sample works in my code, to assign the current Graphics path to a variable named GPath:

GPath:=?PathGraphics

Hot Fix 2 resolves three issues and provides one enhancement.
Resolved issues:
* Copying and pasting unformatted text in tables no longer causes corruption.
* The File | Save As dialog box now uses the folder of the originating document as the default folder.
* The File | Publish to PDF dialog box now uses the folder of the originating document as the default folder.

Enhancement:
* When publishing to the PDF/A format, you can now include hyperlinks.

Download screen– From inside WordPerfect, choose Help, Check for Updates…
Click the message to see the description, and to install the Hot Fix.
Some users will need the installation CDs to install the service pack.
The current version number of WordPerfect will increase from 14.0.0.755 (SP2) to 14.0.0.756 after installation.
